Ok everyone knows by now I am a Glock guy so I was wondering why do a lot of people dislike that Glock platform? What about it makes it less desirable?

In my hand the grip angle seems to extreme. If I take a natural stance, aim and fire I always hit low with a Glock. If I adjust to the Glock, I'm unable to immediately switch to my go to pistol, Sig P226 40s&w. I will NOT say they are unreliable or a good firearm. They are. Just for my stance the Glock isn't the right fit. I'm not a Glock hater, I will eventually add one to my collection just so I can say I have one. I'll also add that I'm not much of a fan of polymer framed pistols. I had an XD 40 sub-compact and really didn't like it, so I sold it.

I'm not sure what the bad name is about, probably just the "plastic" part. Then again, not too familiar with handguns all around, so I'm probably not the person to provide the other perspective you are probably looking for.

I'm just looking for peoples opinions, it seems when glock is talked about on facebook or other social medias a bunch talk bad about it, same as the hi-point arguments. I personally don't feel that any firearm is bad as long as it goes bang when you you pull the boomstick and does not go bang when you dont

I can understand that way of thinking. But imagine this: SHTF and you have a primary and secondary weapon. You've used all the ammo, or had a malfunction with your primary. You're in an extreme environment, take your pick (sand, snow, mud, marine, etc.), reach for your secondary and pull the trigger. It does NOT go bang. It doesn't go bang, because the materials, manufacturing process, QA issues, any number of reasons. If you had saved enough money and purchased a quality weapon, that can be used in a number of different environments, it can save your life. Since you mentioned it, I'll use it as an example...the hi-point. The cheapest pistol that I know of. The only reason I would purchase a hi-point is if I had a boat, or a trailer(or the like), and just leave it there. If it was damaged,or god forbid stolen, I would only be out $150. Just my opinion.

I can also understand that but I have never had even a hiccup from my glock, hi point on the other hand i dont own so i cannot comment on that other than there is plenty of people who have had no issues with them. and as one of the cheapest if not the cheapest guns, i would imagine they sell a good amount of them
